From Vision to Blueprint: Why I Became a General Contractor
I didn’t become a general contractor by chance—I chose this path with purpose. ORO Development was born from my desire to lead, build, and create lasting value for others. I come from a background of hard work, grit, and an unwavering belief in turning vision into reality. What started as curiosity about how structures come to life quickly became a passion for leading projects with precision, integrity, and intention.
I grew up watching my father dedicate his life to the trade. Day after day, he would leave our home at 3 a.m. and return around 5 or 6 in the evening—exhausted, but never defeated. Despite the long hours and physical demands, he carried himself with strength, pride, and an unwavering commitment to provide for our family.
As one of four children, I saw firsthand what sacrifice, discipline, and responsibility looked like. My father didn’t just build structures—he built a foundation for our lives. He showed me that integrity isn’t something you talk about, it’s something you live out every single day. That example stayed with me.
As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I knew I’d have to work harder to prove myself—and I welcomed that. I built ORO to raise the standard in construction, combining transparency, quality, and trust into every project. I wanted clients to feel seen, heard, and confident that their vision was in capable hands.
But this journey isn’t just about building structures—it’s about building opportunity. ORO is a platform to uplift others, create jobs, mentor future leaders, and deliver a better experience for homeowners and developers alike. It’s about showing my children that bold moves, done with heart, build powerful legacies.
“ORO” means gold, a symbol of value, strength, and authenticity—everything I strive to bring to this business. I didn’t get into construction to follow the rules. I got in to redefine them—with excellence, vision, and purpose.
